Kwe kwe! She:kon! Welcome to the Wampum Chronicles!

The Wampum Chronicles is Mohawk Territory on the World Wide Web!

The Wampum Chronicles is dedicated to the study of history, culture, and contemporary issues of the Kanienkehaka (Mohawk) Nation, with an emphasis on the Mohawks of the St. Lawrence River Valley.

This is the index page of the Wampum Chronicles Website. By scrolling down, you'll find a list of all the articles available here, along with contact information and links to other sites of interest.

This page is fairly static, as historians tend to take forever to write new material, but if you want to know where all the ACTION is, click the link below.

The Wampum Chronicles Messageboard

This is the online forum, the place where everyone hangs out!

Feel free to visit and read some of the discussions. If you'd like to join in, I encourage you to take a few seconds and register first. This allows you to post messages and also also allows me to boot your butt out of here if you post something nasty. Heck, even our moderators have been known to get the boot at Wampum Chronicles!

HOMEWORK: Many parents (pretending to be their children) have been emailing me for help with homework assignments on Mohawk Indians. We currently do not have general information suitable for children's homework assignments, but this is something that the Wampum Chronicles hopes to develop in the coming months. Please do not email me for this information! When it becomes available I will post a link to it on this webpage.

GENEALOGY: Please do not email me for assistance with your genealogical research. I do not respond to these kinds of requests due to the volume. Feel free to post your questions at the messageboard and perhaps someone will have the information you seek.

SUBMISSIONS: I welcome submissions of original writing, artwork, and photography. You're not going to make any money but at least your page will look good and will be up there forever!

And one more thing: stop sending us nude photos! We have professionals for that sort of thing.

That being said, welcome to The Wampum Chronicles: Mohawk Territory on the Internet!

Sincerely,
Darren Bonaparte
Wampum Chronicles Webmaster

A reminder: I do not respond to requests for genealogy assistance.
